MKIII Volume Problem

Post by fusionbear »

Hello again. I have a 1991 Mesa MKIII that I took to a jam session on Saturday, but when the amp warmed up, it would lose its volume to a whisper. If I let the amp cool down, the volume would return, but would go away again once it was warm. I won't get a chance to open her up until Tues-wed. so Any ideas where to look first would be greatly appreciated.....

my guess is a 12ax7 tube or socket, the sockets in my III mod amp are not the best--
