What five tools have helped

What five tools ( perhaps beyond the usual ones, temp controlled iron, nut drivers, etc ) have made a difference in your building techniques.

Any of you guys use one of those things that sucks the solder fumes away from you and filters it?
Can't be good to breathe that stuff (lead) for extended periods.

you can build a cheapskate version. Just get some filters (for a manufactured version fume filter) and a fan and a power supply (AC adaptor, etc.). Doesn't get 100% of the fumes but it's a lot better than nothing.

Small boxer type fan in a small box with fuse and switch. Good for blowing fumes or cooling amps while running them at full power.

Thermal wire stripper. Great for use on teflon wire. Remove the insulation without nicking the wire.

Needle nose pliers with smooth jaws. They don't leave marks on wires.

Strain relief pliers. Get those darn things in and out with ease. Not cheap.

Small variac to run soldering iron(s).
