I'm discussing relay switching in a norwegian forum, and most people there say that if you use relays for channel switching, you will get a "pop" when you switch, because slight variations in DC between the two circuits. They also say that the diode across the coil will help, but it will still pop.
What is it that they don't understand...? Because it must be that way, since most of you use relays, and probably don't have any popping sound problems?

Re: Popping sound in relays?
i have found th euse of good quality relays to help. also, i put a 10uf cap right across the coil (my relays have the diode internal). but yes, here will always be some pop and one time or another.
ever try teledyne relays? super expensive. used one on a guitar level signal for a/b switching. was almost noise free... but at 28 bucks or so.....
