I've stared at that for a while, wondering if I could get a stripped-down ODS preamp in there...

Bob-I appeartly put a ODS preamp in the Hoffman box:

I was thinking of using it switchable between a clean tube boost and and a distortion pedal.

I used the hoffman power supply but a Dumble ckt. It's pretty good but needs more tweaking.

Got any pics of your pedal? I'm trying to do the layout and it seems like it's a bit cramped in that box.

Based on the picture in that other thread this was not in the Hoffman pedal "chassis" but a "leftover chassis that Bob had already.

And, yeah, it would be quite tight in the pedal chassis. Hoffman shows two different implementations on his pedal pages - the 2nd is more point-to-point (wired directly to the sockets) and has more room. Still, I have to think........

mlp is right, it's in a chassis not a pedal.
