Friends,
I took and old tube hifi amp and converted it to something resembling a 5E3 Fender circuit except I'm using an 6sc7 for the preamp tube. It sounds great but I'm getting this odd jingle vibrating sound that is not part of the signal. It seems worse when the tone pot is wide open. Any idea what this could be and what might be causing it. By the way I bought Mr Blencoe's book and have been learning a lot. I think I need to do more reading but there's nothing quite like going to town with a soldering iron is there.

Sounds like it may be filament rattle.
Take a pencil and lightly tap on the tubes with the amp on.
If you can recreate that sound then you found the culprit.
You can try dampener O rings but recently somebody posted another alternative.
Take some heat shrink tubing and cut a piece that is about 1/3 the length of the preamp tube.
Slip it over and shrink it so just the top is exposed.
I haven't tried that one but in theory it sounds like it would work.
I wonder if it would cause the tube to over heat though.
