i may be a dummy....
made my own champ, but right out of the gate, there was no DC... quick check with some SS diodes and everything is fine (too hot though)
checked DCR of the other tube filaments and got between 2 and 10 ohms...
Should i be seeing DCR on the 5Y3 filaments?
double double triple checked my solder joints and pinouts.
(first time building with tube rectifier, don't judge! )
EDIT:
FIVE MINUTES LATER...
Double super triple dummy....
Totally forgot about the 5R4 in the spares drawer....
Please feel free to humiliate me!

Re: Dead 5Y3?
Further tests...
Now, with an old RCA 5R4 in place, (where there should be a 5Y3, i'm getting a 5 volt drop across the first power supply resistor (trusty ol' 1K). That's cool, but i'm getting a 15 volt drop in the primary of the OT, so the plate is now 10 volts LESS than the screen.
Having said that, with no FB yet, the thing sounds (to my tastes) wonderfully filthy.
i'm workin' on it!
