I have a shit load of CF 1/2w resistors I'll never use I got them in resistor kits before I realized I only want larger size 1w or higher in my amp builds.

They would work on Dumble FET boards too.

Mark what brand do you use for 1watters?
Also any pics of new builds lately using them?

I like the KOA Speer 2W, and 3W, but the 3W are available in limited values. The higher the wattage resistor, the less heat effects, greater reliability, and less potential for signal modulation. And they're big enough for my old eyes and big fingers to work with.

I used some little Dale 2 wattmresistors for a faux center tap on a heater circuit. They were probably half wattnsized but had nice thick leads .

Most sites don't state the manufacturer's name but I suspect Xicon.

I also order from Fleabay Chinese which have been good leads and large body 1w & 2w.

I just had a look at those 'bay listings and noticed that many of the resistors listed as CF/carbon film are actually metal oxide- some actually show the metal oxide label on the bag in the photo accompanying the 'Carbon Film' listing.

So a bit of 'buyer beware' there if you have definite ideas about which type of resistor you want. Otherwise the prices direct from China are good.

justradios, Mouser, Digikey are a few alternatives I've used.

I've seen some resistors with a 1W rating in one place and a different rating elsewhere on the chart. Mounting maybe. CC are reliably bigger with wattage, but they're CC. Wirewound are pretty much accurate. Films, anybody's guess.
