Yeah the reason for just the letters is that youtube can put massively random different links in their URL's youtu.be etc. this makes it a bit painful to get it right, but the one part that is always the same is the part after that watch?v=somethinghere123 . those letters and numbers 'are' the video link. The addon then can use that to reference the video correctly.

so to do the link right you do [ youtube ] asdv234nvaein [ /youtube ] (remove the spaces, I just added them so the board doesn't try to make it into a video link)

it is a form of hatemail
