How do I test the reverb on a Marshall DSL401 with no pedal?

Post by bentonar18 »

Long story short: bought a Marshall DSL401 but it didn't come with the pedal. Played the amp: no reverb. How do I test this with no pedal? Or is the pedal required?

Answers from knowledgeable folks welcome...! Thanks.

I can offer a second opinion, having played one a day or two ago. No pedal needed. If you turn the knob up and nothing happens, you've got a problem. First thing I'd do is check that the connection between amp and tank are secure, then I'd try subbing a different reverb tank. The only two times I've had a reverb problem it was a bad tank.
