Eyelets can be ordered from Hoffman amps Doug has high quality eyelets and turrets among other parts.

I order from Mouser, Digikey, CED, Mojotone, Watts, Hoffman, ebay and many other sources.

rjguitars.net has great chassis, transformers, boards, components and kits but I don't build Trainwreck amps much anymore.

Since Watts wasn't getting me my chassis 20"x6.5"x2.5" I ordered from ebay Synaptic Amps as noted above. They arrived today and are just a nice as the watts chassis.

I got mine from mouser.com:

https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/534-43

I think I ordered 500, and at .051 per it's decent, I'm likely to order a lifetime next time and get like 2000 :D

Ditto on eyelets from Mouser, and another plug for Hoffman. Crazy fast shipping when I have ordered from them. The fastest shipping I've experienced is McMaster Carr, which also has stuff suitable for amp builders.

I have always had this kind of delay from Watts, but I can't find a better deal on aluminum chassis. 17.5x8x2.5 chassis is 44.00 plus shipping. Does anyone know of a better source in the US?

I finally took action today after being told he would get everything shipped out, well he did not.

He is now trying to fill the order after I had to threaten him with creditor claims of non fulfillment of goods.

Unfortunately, there have been other reports of this also
A week so ago there was a post on a facebook tube amp builders group where the customer had to get paypal involved to get his $700+ back
Sad to hear about people having issues with suppliers for sure

Where do you guys get your eyelets, if not from Watts?
Eyelets, board material and turret lugs all on this page :)

There's a post on Facebook Tube Guitar amp builders group about this
I don't think you can view it unless you are a member of the group, but here is the link

He'll even do cutouts etc for additional fee. I dug it. He doesn't spot weld the corners, if that's a problem for you.

I have used these chassis and will do so again.
Good quality.

Thanks for the input fellas. Used to order from Hoffman years ago. Didn’t even think about him for eyelets these days. I’ll chime in with regard to the outcome of this (last) order with Watts when it’s all said and done.

I'm sadly going through the same situation with Ken/WattsTubeAudio.....

I ordered some specific sized circuit boards and other parts in late April. After not hearing anything on the order for a week, I emailed Ken asking if there was an issue. Ken responded that his board maker broke, but that it was being resolved and he was catching up on orders and would ship my stuff out ASAP. Well, I haven't heard a thing since then, even after trying to email him again. I've now taken the issue to Paypal to try to get my money back.

It's a real bummer too. I had ordered stuff from Watts in the past with no problem.

Same issues here. I ordered May 15th, nothing after processing. I've emailed twice and no response.

This is terrible. I used to live in Tampa and could go right there and he's always shipped stuff to me in Hawaii promptly but I haven't ordered in about a year. Hopefully this is a temporary thing......

I just finished building a high gain "Jose Marshall" 25 watt amp and it has no detectable hum. The reason I ordered one 8 inches deep was to keep the tubes and heaters away from the preamp, tonestack, and volume controls. Also, I etched PCBs based on that size chassis, so I would have to modify my layouts to use less space. I was hoping to get a chassis exactly like the one I just built because I am planning on selling it.

The 17.5x6.5x2.5 chassis looks like a great deal and I will order one if the Watts order doesn't happen. The ones from Watts have an inserted threaded nut on theirs. What is the best way to mount yours? Rivnuts?

yes he even sells them. I've got some of his and have built in 3 of these chassis so far and love them. Rivnuts installed super easily and I have mounted them in cabs as well.
