Thanks Doc, that's more of a threat than any storm. :) Those dirty dawgs would move in here and start parting it out like the mob does some schmoe's nightclub. Until there was nothing left but to torch it for the insurance money. I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt as well.

Noel Grassy wrote:Thanks for the link, I've never seen that one before. If I read it correctly, they were slammin' our coast at 36'~42'!!! So the really brutal front of the storm is all done, correct? They seem to calm down by the evening of the 6th. That certificate warning made my browser turn pink in the address bar when I chose to slog on through, funny guys.
The thing is, that was just the first one. They don't call them weather guessers for nothin'. Check out about 136 hours from 12Z (4:00PM) pacific. There are three storm centers stacked up from the west coast of USA clear to the Philippines. If any two of those cells form up together.....oooooh boy.

My girlfriend thinks snow is appealing. She's never lived in it. What's your mid-day temperature currently? Nightime temp?

It can be romantic indeed...

We've had a couple of snowstorms 3 days apart with 6' snowbanks.

Nightmarish in the city unless on a bike...lovely in the mountains...skiing/snowboarding anybody?

Temps are fluctuating from extreme cold (-20F/-4C) to (+50F/+10C forecasted on for thuesday)

Go figure!

Maybe a retreat to higher ground would be prudent :!: If you're going to evacuate in your boat, at least stay ON the road

In KY , we get Alberta clippers from Canada dropping us into the teens (F) one week, then a southeastern high pushing us back to the 60's the next week. Lots of folks getting pneumonia :( We are lucky not to have STORM SURGE problems

Pretty calm winds today, lots of heavy showers.
It was half snow/ rain mix a few times today.
I'm at about 250 ft above sea level.

Mt stepdad's from Portland, grew up during the depression. Classic logger type. When I'd complain about the rain in Seattle, he'd say."That's Oregon mist". WTF? I'd retort. "Yeah", he'd say, "missed Oregon, hit Seattle". hardy har har.
