She was half. The other half Scottish drinker gambler useless SOB. The weird part is that she claimed not to be Cherokee but rather Ute. What was a Ute (woman, my great grandmother) doing in Tahlequah in 1910? Anyway, my grandmother and two sisters survived. Grandma in turn married a half Cherokee in Missouri named Wooters. So my mother is some kind of a half of something. No links to Dawes roles.
