Enough to make something cleverly stupid.

How about an 18 page childrens book called 'It's hard to write ink on burl!'.
Those tools are beautiful. What metal do you use for blade material? I might be interested in a set of draw knives and a couple others.

Rat tail figured walnut boards.
They're about an inch to narrow to make Trainwreck cabs, but I'll use it for brackets and trim pieces on something.

Glue em up You should have no problem matching grain to make it look like a single board.
Not a damn thing wrong with glueing up boards. If you join the boards together good the glue line should be near impossible to see

What with all these beautiful grained planks... had to say somethin'.
There are some amazing Japanese hotel lobbies done with bookmatch & serial planking or veneer. The rest of the crew thought I'd lost my mind when I just stopped and stared. They were right, I did... Them, well they either didn't notice or were philistines or somewhere on the spectrum between. During 5 tours in Japan, I became a fan of their architecture and finish features. Fukuoka Hyatt rooms were memorable, in a Scandinavian modern style with light-toned well figured paneling. Many more good ones besides.
down technical blind alleys . . .

Merry Christmas to me.
11"x41" walnut burl.
8 consecutive book matched slices. 1st pic is just one, 2nd and 3rd are 2 together.

OK, now I'm jealous! Absolutely gorgeous. Use it wisely.
It's a guitar amplifier. How hard can it be?

After a few nogs and a slight squint, I'm right there with you. I vote for charging buffalo, by a nose.
Or it could be a large-headed alien hula dancer.
