Kind of a acoustic version of Mr Vai's "I know you are here"

Great player nevertheless!

It seems that he would rather have a harp than a guitar. I was wondering when the guitar playing would actually start, and it never did.

Great talent. I loved how he uses his tuners to change pitch while staying in the pocket.

Yeah, looks like those quick tune banjo tuners on the last two strings, I've seen a few others use them on the bass E string for drop d stuff before and for similar techniques. That was pretty cool though I must say, I also wonder how many guitars he goes through on tour a year...

Regards,

Don

Seems like he makes them last somehow... Look at this video from 2007 or so... It looks like the same guitar to me.

Remember the good old days when guitars were guitars and drums were drums? I honestly can't listen to this style of playing anymore. I've seen Tommy Emmanuel 6 times, perhaps he burned me out on it.

I've seen John play many times locally as he's based in Leeds, I saw him do a clinic at Leeds College of Music a few years ago and he always bought his strings from the shop I worked in, genuinely nice guy and amazing talent.
