/13 & H.A.D. ?

Hi Folks,

Just joined the forum. I've read through a bunch of posts here in the last few days. The first time I saw someone use "HAD", i thought it looked familiar. After thinking about it, it occurred to me that this is a reference to Dumble. However, Divided By 13 amps bear the same acronym. Does anyone know what this means in /13 speak?

Fred has said that HAD stands for Had A Dad...a tribute to his father... something like that anyway.

I always thought it stood for his initials--Howard Alexander Dumble.

We were talking about Fred T. of /13 Amps. I haven't been on this board for very long, but I am pretty sure that when you see 'HAD' here, it's a reference to 'Howard'. However, inside Freds's amps, near the tube chart, you will see, written in felt marker, the date of manufacture, Fred's initials, and H.A.D. When I saw HAD on this forum, it threw me for a loop, because I knew I had seen this acronym somewhere. It took me a few minutes to figure out the 'Howard' reference, but I kept seeing the black felt initials in my mind. And this led me to ask the question of 'what does Fred mean by H.A.D.?'.
