In my experience the stereo gibsons have one Magnet reversed on the pickups.
The pickups are stock. I did rewire the guitar to mono though. You can just do it at the output jack, but that results in weird interactions when using the middle position. The internal wire harness was shorting out (the reason I got a good deal). So I rewired it mono to the switch and it works like any early mono Gibson , but with a factory out of phase sound (Peter green) in the middle.
Diego really knows how to work a guitar though and he brought the best out of the guitar and amp. I have made a few improvements to amp since the video , it's much better now.

here's one of my signed and numbered Deans from my Dean kick, I have more if you want to see them. This was my #1 guitar for about a year, stunning top. Plays like butter, killer neck.

Absolutely! A Dean was the best guitar I ever owned until Delta sent it to three destinations at the same time.

I have something ancient and relative that I am scared to show. I think Lefty may have seent it. I don't need much attention that I don't already get and even I admonish myself for purse battles lol Bob..

Some of my friends and I were just have this conversation last week about how well the old Dean guitars were and how we wished we still had some.

I felt a little bit of love so here are the rest. These are all newer US made Deans and the quality is every bit as good as the older ones I've had, they put Giby's to shame.

Big love for the Z, V and Caddy. Do they have the V neck profiles? Most comfortable neck in the World. I have a Les Paul that has a profile contemporary to the Fenders of the same year that is soo very close to the early Dean that I just had to have it. Live for that neck.

I wanted one of those Caddys bad, but never heard they were out until they were.. OUT. :)

Great stuff!

They do have the killer V necks with the rolled binding, luxurious three pc, qtr sawn mahogany. They are wide but they feel small and fit perfectly in your hand.

nice Paul. Can't tell from the photos, is that a 50's or the 70's reissue?

Late '55! Weighs as much as a light Telecaster.

nice,
this 59 came out of Jackson prison with a repaired headstock and a jack mod. Out of necessity someone harvested the upper frets to replace the first 7. I think the serial # is 929292 or 939393

Yes, I covet it. It has massive character.

It looks REALLY big in that last pic.. ;)

I hate to admit it but I have all the Mini stack colors except for the silver one, I even have the vintage style green one that is way cool.

Interesting to note is that both those LP's are 59's but the top one has the standard body radius and the bottom one has a smaller tele type radius.

The tighter edge one is a later serial? I have noticed differences without reason on some and the best idea we ever came up with was out of place tools and it's hard to tell by eye what you are picking up if you don't check it.

Is the tighter one really as tight as a tele, or just kind of in between?

Many transitions going on at Gibson that year, for sure.
