And doubtless not missing a beat or even two, handed off to Derek Trucks to slide forward forth with ... seems perfect to me.

Yeah, Billy did it with sandpaper while I was out of town. It was top oversprayed SG red in the 60s over mint goldtop.

Finished yesterday. Khaya back, flame maple top. I had to do the worn blue jean finish. Creamery 71 WRHB and Nocaster bridge P/U's. Roasted maple neck, Grigsby 5 way switch gives me bridge, bridge and neck single coil parallel, bridge and neck single coil in series humbucking, neck single, and neck humbucker. My wife liked the distressed blue jean look so much she claimed it as her own. So i had to inlay her name on the headstock to support that fiction.

Smooooth. Much joy and fidelity at low gain, and singing wail at high gain without the ice pick.

I have big hands....and seldom use the volume, but I get my pinky wrapped over it without losing the bridge weld with the heel of my hand. On my other tele, and my strat, I was always hitting the switches and controls. Now that I don't use a pick it's not really a problem but there's no reaction like over reaction.. Hopefully this will prevent it from ever being sold!
