When you feel like cloning a digital amp modeller...

Post by MCK »

Here's something that looks fun... It is a digital amp modeller that seems to let you choose & tweak components a little. On those days you don't feel like soldering this might be fun. Well at least the eye candy looks sweet!

The voltages are too low to light up the tubes; just LEDs behind them to illuminate them.

...... I can build a real amp for what an iPad and apps would cost me.

I can imagine that on a pedal board.

Good idea. They'll have to pay - Mike Matthews - for the use of certain logos - and of course pass the cost to the app buyer. KaCHING! one more time for Mighty Mike.

The graphic reminds me of what you see on screen for many computer amp-simulator "plug-ins."

What's this world coming to? Digitally simulated everything!

I'm going to enjoy my nice chilly G&T for real, before they make a digital synthesis of that. Cheers!

It is all ok so long as they are just copying and re-modeling.
Watch out for when they come up with original ideas and concepts for sounds.
Can't be long now.

I think it sounds fizzy.:D

In the future, we won't be allowed to heat up vacuum tubes due to global warming protocols.

We'll just have to manipulate graphics on a touch screen to mimic the great old amps. :D
Tom

Don't let that smoke out!
