I'm going with 50W plexi, but I don't know shit. Somebody will chime in and tell me it's a reamped something or other.
Re: What do you think he is using?
I don't know I saw them in 1979 and they were great.
I do have some old stage photos but they are dark. I looked at the photos and they are really dark but he is playing through what appears to be a 100w Marshall stack.

Every video, every article always has the Marshall. It is one of my most sought after tones. The old LP Deluxe helps a lot, not to mention his talent.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

That song is a staple in our set list. I love it and the people of all ages really enjoy hearing it. Our drummer's voice sounds almost identical to his which is pretty cool.

I saw them play at my college in about 1982 but I was pretty wasted and I never noticed the amps. Mostly what I remember is being impressed by the bass player. I'd love to see them live again.
Don't you boys know any NICE songs?
Re: What do you think he is using?
With a name like ALR you better have a damn good bassist
Re: What do you think he is using?
I'm fairly sure that there must have a law prohibiting the sale of any guitar amp other than Marshall in the state of Georgia back then because everyone I've ever seen from there played them...With Gibson Les Pauls of course.

Their current rider calls for "JCM800, 50 watt preferred".
Not the same band members now, some died some quit, only one original member.
But it may still be an effort to nail the original tone.
I did see them back in the day, great band.

Re: What do you think he is using?
I always liked most Southern rock bands.
There was a time when it was very popular with Lynyrd Skynyrd, Outlaws, Molly Hatchet, 38 Special, Blackfoot, Blackberry Smoke, etc.
