How to make a quick link on a post.

Post by tonequester »

Greetings to ALL.

I hope I'm in the right place for this question. If it isn't, I apologize, and hope for a correction. My question is this : How does one make a quick link in a post. Example : A schematic for my amp, when I am posting about it.
I am sorry to ask such a simple question, and I don't even know if it is done the same way on all forums. I'm still trying to understand the whole forum process, and I DO want to be "politically correct".
Thanks to anyone who can reply, and help me get it right.

Copy and paste the link to the new message, it helps if it's on a line by itself.
Then, highlight the link and click the "URL" button for an address, or the "Img" button for an image.

Here's an image:

and a pdf:

Make sure you highlight the whole link and nothing but the link or you'll have fragments or an incomplete link.

For URL's:

Code: Select all

www.google.com

For URL's with text instead of the URL:

Code: Select all

Google
Google

For images:

Code: Select all

To write syntax in phpBB that won't be interpreted as a link, use

Code: Select all
links or syntax examples or whatever
I don't like animals enough to have an animal. I like toilet brushes, so I like Boo.

He's a celebrity, they say.

Sanka is a total smoothie of dog breeds haha, the shelter sent out a blood test to see her lineage, we received it after we adopted her. results said %50 Jack Russel terrier, %25 boston terrier, and %25 "other" a looooong list of weird dog breeds but also the requisite pit bull and chihuahua that are so common in rescue dogs.

i thought maybe the "test" facility has a "we wont show much pit bull, so its easier to adopt them out" just a feeling, but she is terrier all the way!!

the dominant jack russel is one of her best attributes in my opinion. she is SO smart! it really surprises me, she can tell when im sad, or about to walk her, even if i havent done anything to clue her in. she is so attentive to my body language i guess, thats how they communicate really.

anyway, i gave up on linking stuff, always gave me problems and i would rather just download it to my computer and upload it to TAG $0.02

Only thing about a link to an image is that it can go away. If you upload it, it will be around as long as TAG.
