This may be horrible condolences, but bear with me. There's an old story where a family asked a Buddhist Monk for a blessing. He said "Grandfather dies. Father dies. Son dies."

The family was offended. But the monk explained that any other order would be a curse.

My father died when I was in my twenties, before I had really accomplished anything. He never got to see my success, he never got to see the wonderful woman I married, and he never got to see the amazing kids my wife and I have raised. He died basically thinking I was a fuck up.

Any man that gets to see the success of his children, his children finding their soul mate, and those children producing wonderful grandkids is truly a very blessed man, and the son of that man is also blessed.

Relish what you've shared. It's obvious his son made him happy. What more could a father ask for?

I'm there for you my friend.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Very sorry to hear this news. I know how it feels, its been almost 8 years now since I lost my Daddy... but what a great thing you have to remember him by (and probably pix, other video's maybe even recordings). You will find as I did, they are worth more than any Gold because every item is packed with memories and reminders. Take care and keep family close.

I'm late.

Sorry to hear the sad news. Really glad to hear he was a cool dood.

To all those before us.
