My old man has passed away.....

Post by stelligan »

We celebrated my father's life as we laid him to rest yesterday. He encouraged all his children to follow their dreams and do their best to achieve their goals. He was our biggest fan and had a great love of music. I did not know this video existed before it was sent along by an old sound man. He was the biggest Delbert McClinton fan and we had this impromptu jam of a Delbert tune with him encouraged to sing. Brother, John, was playing drums at a reunion BBQ we had a few years back. What a treasure for me in this time of grief to be reminded of how much fun he was and how much fun he always had...............

So sorry to hear of your loss. Time will ease the feeling of grief. You will always have the memories. When I see my sisters, we always talk about our parents and it is very comforting.

Very sorry to hear that. That's a tough loss. From your description of him, he sounds like a great dad. My deepest sympathy for you and your family.

Sorry for your loss Stelligan.

Cherish those memories and fun times with your dad.

It's great you have that video, most of us probably don't have that.

God bless in your time of sorrow.

Stelligan, I'm sorry for your loss. Losing a father is one helluva blow. I lost mine when I was 14. I know it doesn't help, but be thankful for the time you had with him.
