A reasonable response if your current avatar is really you.

Oh thats good! And Miles IS Mickey's very serious nephew. Nothing at all like those 3 silly duck kids Huey Dewey & Looie.

Another of Mickey's relatives was featured in Zap and other similar publications, drawn by art genius Victor Moscoso. Here's a frame:

I remember that picture. Different times, huh? Or maybe that didn't actually happen - hard to say. Or it did happen and not. I cannot remember so there's no observation.

Whether it happened or not Victor Moscoso's art is still there. Google him up & check out some of his work, it's fascinating, & way way out there, likes to play with geometry plus bring in his versions of Mr Peanut, mouse & duck, some dinosaur, wacky characters. Very amusing & head-scratching "what is this guy THINKING?" Imagine if he was a musician...

I see a hint of Escher in his work. And who knows, maybe he IS a musician.

Moscoso certainly did a lot of those wacky posters for Fillmore West, Family Dog, Winterland, and other Bay Area venues, sometimes in collusion with other artists like Kelly & Mouse. Album covers too. I'm sure he's known among that circle of musicians.

I had a collection of Zap! Bob Crumb was brilliant and he did more than just Zap. I also had a couple of issues of "Up From The Deep" comics - Very weird stories, the best I'd seen until Heavy Metal came out. The artwork there was phenomenal. And that leads to Frank Frazetta, and on and on.

Robert Crumb still alive and well and living in France with his sweetheart. Google him and you can catch up on recent work. For those with $$$ some nice limited edition posters @ $600. (A guys' got to earn a living, ya know?) If I had the braad, wouldn't hesitate. Went looking and found this on Satchmo's birthday. Robert as far as I'm concerned now has the talent of great artists: he not only draws the image, but captures the attitude. See what I mean:
