Very cool Billy! What speaker is in that thing?
Re: Magnatone 213 on the bench
It's an alnico oxford, original with a magnatone label.

Great lil amp. Call the deep blue sea..
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

The ONE amp I wish I had not sold was my Magnatone Troubador. Man it had a sweet tone.
I've got blisters on my fingers!
Re: Magnatone 213 on the bench
It would have been nice if Magnatone put a little more thought and planning into their layout and grounds. The engineers were very clever with the pitch shifting vibrato, but got lazy with the build.
Re: Magnatone 213 on the bench
After replacing the main power supply can and the cathode bypass cap on the power tubes, it is perfectly quiet. Sounds great. I had to replace the ac cable as well, it was missing insulation in many spots. The client was very happy as his parents bought for him new.
