Wow sad indeed, anyone alive in the 80s certainly had exposure to his music and creativity. A truly talented individual that left his mark on the music industry.

Never a fan, but that is way way too young to go.

Wow. Prince was a genius producer, musician, singer, songwriter, guitar player, and more. Very sad news.

Gently Weeps didn't change my mind. I am not a fan of his grandstanding, but I do appreciate some of his funk grooves. Really a prolific artist and very well loved by his audience.

I never really gave him much consideration as anything more the a pop star diva oddity... Then many years later after seeing him during the Super Bowl halftime show, I was amazed. I acquired a compilation album and think he had some really great non comercial material. I wished I would have taken him seriously sooner... And taken the effort to see him live.

Say what you want about the guy, man could he play the guitar!
Sorry to see him go so soon. Yeah, he was a creative genius indeed!
When he first came on the scene with his pop hits, I don't think I was even aware that he played the guitar. In some recent years I've come to an appreciation of his guitar chops.
RIP, Prince

I agree 10 times over, if you never saw him live you missed a treat.Played 20 some odd instruments and was just a good a drummer as guitar player.

RIP Purple One

Like a lot of his stuff, the studio version was pulled from YT awhile ago. Could only find this live version which doesn't do the studio version justice.

I didn't pay much attention when he was coming up, as I was into other types of music, but knew he was a serious talent. Such a youngster and kinda freaky how many players we are loosing these days.
