Miles' Scarface

Post by telentubes »

There's a write-up of Miles' Scarface in the article about Derek Trucks in the latest Fretboard Journal. They spend quite a bit of time on the guitar. I was saddened when it left Miles, but I guess it's found a good home. Derek seems extremely pleased.

That's cool, I'll have to check it out. I met that guitar in person a couple of years ago.

Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.

it plays terrible and he plays great... perfect.

If you ever want to know real scarface from other scarface pretenders just ask it who the world belongs to.

A can of Krylon gold, some elbow grease & Simonize could get that all fixed up perfect, right? :P

OTOH I was watching a friend play his 1953 ES-295 last night. Used to be all gold, way back when. He bought it for a song because it had been refinned in a bright cherry burst. Looks spectacular! And sounds terrific, well when he's playing it.
