Tom (and Tom's wife), I'm not too far away in Seattle. I know you are in Oregon. If there is anything I can do to help, don't hesitate to ask. If at some point you'd like me to come down and hang out a bit, I'd be happy to do that. Tom is without a doubt the nicest guy on this board (sorry other nice guys on this board).

Recovering from a stroke is a long process, and I'm here to help anyway I can.
It's never too late to have a happy childhood.

Hi Tom,
I am Alex, the Russian guy, whom you help so much since 2008, when I built my first tele. If not for your support, I might have given up. You taught me a lot about doing good QUALITY work and I am very thankful for that. You also inspired me to start working on amps. I built 3 already and more to come. I fixed many, many guitars and amps for many people and I am considering at some point to go full time into repair businness. Because of your patience, knowledge and kindness, i am able to pay it forward to 100s of other people.
Please get well soon, my prayers are with you.
Alex Orelchikov.

Praying for you Buddy, sorry to hear of your health complications. I haven't been on this site for a month or so, very sorry to hear of this.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery, and the very best to you and your wife.

Take care,

Wow I just caught up with this. Sorry to hear about your mishap Tom. I wish you a solid recovery. My mum had a stroke 4 years ago and has almost totally recovered - you wouldn't know it now. So hope springs.

Gotta bump this up to the current holiday. All I want for Christmas is for our pal Tom to get better! Any new reports? I hope they are positive!
