Re: Big new toy
Sure! What do you need, equipment-wise? Hand truck and Toyota half-ton pickup should do the job, right? Unless it's much heavier than a pinball machine...

Re: Big new toy
Ok so the unit itself is now in 2 pieces. The base and the head. The base is probably 3000-4000lbs. It is not a small item. I would hire a rigger to get it done but $2000 is better in my pocket than someone else's. So we have a plan to rent a lo-boy trailer. We have the use of fork lifts at my brothers place of business to load it onto the trailer BUT at my house I don't have that luxury nor do I have a loading dock so it is ground level. So we have a motor hoist that can lift 4000lbs to get it off the trailer and then we will use roller bars to skate it into the garage.
The real problem is the trailer. It has a pintle hitch. I don't have a vehicle with said hitch. My other brother has a truck with the proper braking connection for the trailer but until last week we did not have a pintle hitch. So now we have all the hardware in place I think and I have to see when everyone is available.
