What happened to Vintageamps.com?

Post by sonicmojo »

Anyone know if the forum over at Vintageamps.com/Plexipalace will every exist again? There used to be some good information over there on vintage Hiwatts, Marshalls, other obscure amps, etc......I always checked in from time to time but it looks like the website has been suspended....bummer.

You can usually use the web archive to get to this kind of content. : https://web.archive.org/web/20161223180 ... com:80/wp/

But you may want to find a way to archive that if you want regular access to it, as the archive can be pretty slow.

Costs money to run a site.. Don't know why I never saw a donation link.

pompeiisneaks how does this site exist? Who pays for it?
This site has helped me big time and I would donate to not lose it.

Well it's right now owned by user allynmey but he's posted here maybe once in the last 5 or 6 months, and doesn't seem around much. He'd be the one that pays the bills for the site. I think people have offered to pay him and he's not been too worried about it. He controls the domain and the site. I've been doing the admin work for about the last 3 to 6 months, don't recall exactly when I started.
