Nice work. It's just hard to make those beer kegs look less than industrial. I appreciate his art on the scratchplates more. The drum engraving gets lost in the hardware. Now if the shells were anodized a color, then engraved....

He draws the designs freehand - then has a transfer process to layout repeating patterns for engraving. Tape can be used to lift graphite from a pencil drawing and transfer to the drum or pickguard . Yes, the graver in his hand freehand on the drum. Poor guy has had a couple neck surgeries from looking down at his jeweler's bench for years. So, he really has to rig up for the process....

Another from the brother.
His son bought him this with a dent in the upper bout. He cut and engraved this guard to hide the scar.
