There was a pretty significant flame war between him and someone else on a FB group so much so that they admin deleted the whole thread and took some flak for it.

He's not seeming to do much more than just act like he's working on the orders, and making a lot more people very angry.

I don't understand it, for sure. If he was truly trying to catch up, he would disable purchaes online until he can catch up. He's not, so I'm sure he's not too worried about taking in money and not in a hurry to pay back or return funds or he'd have less people screaming.

I'm not sure what his intentions are, but he should start being realistic about it or he'll get in legal trouble.

Ken isn't being honest with anyone.

It's a source of income for him by not turning off the shopping cart.

People need to get their paypal, credit cards and banks involved like I did.

Funny how I got most of my order but not all.

He states some one threatened him and his son over his business dealings. Not sure if I believe the story due to all the other excuses I been told for no response or parts.

Yes, it seems like he is just going to continue to do this.

Would you happen to be willing to share the name of the facebook group?

I wouldn't go there to get into it with Ken, but if i can find other people who have been robbed by him,
it would help.
I've run across his kind before.
I have filed a couple claims in the past on other scammers using the FBI link/site the person mentioned earlier in the thread.
Never heard back from the FBI directly, but i believe they will go after someone if there are enough complaints filed.

I'm not into Ken for that much, and if there's no movement, i'll file a claim and get my money back,
but i'm also of the mind that since we know better, we should do something.
After all, the people who would still get caught in Kens trap are our peers, our friends.
So if he makes no effort i would definitely be filing a complaint and look into calling the local police in his area.
Just because i can get my money back, doesn't mean he hasn't committed a crime here.

I'm a member of several, and the thread was deleted, he may no longer be responding, but it's one of "Tube Guitar Amp Builders" or "Tube Amplifier Repair and Diagnosis" or something like that, I just don't recall. Sorry.

At this point i think Ken is just over the edge.

No one has reported getting anything shipped and the only refunds have come via paypal claims/chargebacks,
with not a single response from Ken.

He STILL will post on his facebook page, and the page from the Lava Lounge, the other business he runs.

I still haven't heard back or gotten a refund.

Is anyone else on board for actually reporting this guy to the authorities?
One of us can call and open the complaint, then hand out the case number/phone #

He's STILL open for business and ripping off our friends and peers. We should do something.

yes/no?

Looks like the site is "back up". I've been hitting it ever now and again over the last few months as there were comments there regarding streamlining inventory and more or less reopening. There are still 2 items in my cart, left there once the poop hit the rotary cooling device blades. Anyone back in?

Watts put up a notice on his FB page about what was going on during the time we all were waiting on parts or refunds etc.

Said he wants to try gain trust again, we'll see.

He still owes me some money for parts not received.

I like the blank chassis that Watts sells so I may cautiously wade back in and give him another try. The service was pretty good up to the point where his dad died. Understandable that things could derail a bit at that time.

Darn. I hate to hear this. I used to order from him from time to time.

If you haven't tried Wattkins Amp Forum's Typeface.com store, they offer 2 sizes of chassis at reasonable prices (12.25" x 6.875" x 2.75" for $40, and breaks for multiple orders, and 16" x 8" x 2.5" for $50. The smaller one has pilot holes and the larger is drilled, so you may want to see if they'd suit your purposes. I've been pretty satisfied, and they are a helpful group.

Is Watts up and running and actually shipping orders? How about all you guys that have paid for long past due orders? Any updates?

He said he was ready but when I tried to put in an order it would not go through.

He owes me a small amount but I'll try work that out with him.
He isn't too good with his business accounting or he would have noticed the discrepancies.

Yeah sorry Doug, this forum's notifications are broken and I've not got the right permissions to fix it... sadly.
