Custom Chassis'

Post by pompeiisneaks »

Hello,

I know we've had a few threads about this, I wanted to mention that I had previously referred people to Synaptic Amps. I recently just ordered one, and the ebay listing was idle for a bit, but he finally got back to me yesterday and I found he's had problems with custom chassis' from ebay so he's preferring using Reverb.com for items going forward.

I still highly recommend his chassis' and his responses, now that he's back form a move etc :D

We also know about amplified nation here of course. If anyone else wants to add more links to the thread please do so.

I've been using Seaside Chassis for my recent builds.

https://seasidechassisdesign.com

This guy on ebay does a lot of blank standard size chassis, not sure about pure custom work though...

Anyone know of any custom chassis makers in Europe? Many industrial suppliers, but haven't managed to track down any one-off or small run suppliers.
Thanks.

In my vicinity, I know a company specialised in making chassis and one or two others who could be able to do some chassis as well, but I haven't managed to deal with them.

The fact is everybody here seems willing to buy Tube Town chassis. Not sure the reason for that, beyond the price of Tube Town chassis being rather interesting.

Any metal shop can do this.
That's what I did: in a radius of 25km sent every metal shop a cad file or *.stp file and they should be able to give you a quote.
Prices vary widely up to 300% difference.

Thanks. I agree, good prices at TT, but they don't have exactly what I'm looking for.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll look into that.

Got a BF Bassman chassis in aluminum from Tube-Town for under 17.5 euros. That's $21 USD!. Only thing is I had to wait 6 weeks for it to arrive. Quality is top notch. Don't know if I'll do it again...........

Of course. My answer was for Europe only.

To add to erwin_ve's message: many companies laser cutting metal seem to be able to make chassis.
