I gave away all my gear to the local music store....built up an old 4runner and will proceed to go die in the Arizona desert...
Don't overthink it. Just drink it.

As they should ;-/ and if they do that, you've done your job well.

I buried my dad back in September.
He was 96.
I was the executor of his estate.
The disposition his possessions was pretty simple.
He had a buttload of investments and insurance policies along with gold and silver.
He started gifting the gold and silver to us about 10 years before his death.
The investments were all designated as transfer on death to the heirs so the transfer was fairly simple.
I was a signatory on most of his accounts so transferring funds was easy.
There was one account I did not have access to and getting the funds was very difficult.
Think about what you want to do with all of your stuff and make arrangements ahead of time.
Make it easy for your spouse or kids.

At one time I had a pretty good collection of vintage guitars and amps.
I had about 40 amps and around 30 guitars.
You can see some of them in my avatar.
I have sold most of them including the the dead mint 53 Tele in the front.
My wife has no clue as to what they are or what they are worth so I have made her a list.
I will do the same for my guns and motorcycles.

Wow that's an amazing piece of history should probably be in a museum.
Sorry to hear about your dad sounds like he was a great man. If my dad wad still alive he'd be almost 90. It's been 30 years since he passed and I still think about him everyday.I hate to think about the mess it will be after my mom passes. There's a will and a trust but I have 6 brothers and I know 3 of them will do everything they can to make a mess of it.
I was planning on living on earth forever but I guess that's not realistic. I haven't been to dr since I broke my foot when I was 18 . 28 years ago. My brother being diagnosed with congestive heart failure made me realize I'm not going to be here forever and better stop doing unhealthy things.
I don't have much (or need much) but its paid for. A small farm a few rentals. I'd like to make sure my loved ones receive it.
