Knobs are pretty rough but they still hold tune

Not centrelab. The pots are IRC 500k. I think the date code is 704.

5 of the tuners worm gear is covered. On one of them you can see the end. Is this an early p90?

No. Side or quarter profile. Is it a lap steel?

Yes it's a lap steel no identifying marks on it except it says Dave. So I've come to the conclusion it's the lapsteel used by David Gilmore on the DSOTM album

Not the same the bottom bobbin on mine isn't squared off. It appears to be attached from the bottom to big metal plate the bridge sits on

Speed knobs not bells.

I think this thing is a gibson century that someone "dave" Stripped the paint off of. So I reckon the pots date to 47 not 57

What fun is that. I actually thought it was a homemade unit. I received it in pieces. Once I started realizing all the parts were what gibsin uses. I was having thoughts of someone backing a truck over there 50s lp and salvaging the parts to make this thing. I was gonna sale the parts and never have to work again.

I don't think it's a p90 but I don't know much. That wire splice is making me sick to my stomach. Looks like ot was originally black
