Yes Peru is amazing. I visited Machu Picchu on a gig and was blown away by the site and stone work. Huge blocks with paper thin seams. It is a magical place. There is a loadstone there that sends your compass crazy.

Now I feel like you are just showing off. I bet if I said I was going on an expedition to Antarctica you would post a picture of you BBQing a penguin on Mcdonald Beach 😂
But seriously thanks for posting that amazing picture I'll download it to the laptop when I get home.

My basic premise is that it's almost mathematically impossible that they don't exist, and our theories and knowledge of the massiveness of space, and laws of physics mean traversing that space to even the closest areas that might have life would take multiple generations and have super high chance of failure... so yeah... agreed. Although the recent advent of the alcubierre drive's theoretical speeds would be pretty interesting, and in fact close that gap significantly.

If the limit of "C" is real, contact would be highly unlikely.
If the purported method of moving great amounts of space/time behind you instantaneously is possible, the distance limits are no longer a factor.
Here's hoping the universe also has a wisdom filter.

If aliens are wise and intelligent enough to successfully travel space and time , then they are probably wise and intelligent enough to not interfere and meddle directly with comparatively feeble and inferior beings such as humans.

A 1200 foot record adapter would fit a record roughly a mile in diameter. I wonder what happened to the record?

It wore out.
It was the only record big enough to record the unedited version of In A Gadda Da Vida and saw much play.

Maybe they'll be able to help out other aliens play the Voyager golden records at 33rpm.
The aliens are already on cassetes.
