Thought this is kinda interesting. It be neat to try installing them on a slant so each pickups poles are underneath two strings.

I'm surprised it sounds so full, not having a pole piece under all strings, with that square law and all. Makes no sense to me.

Well in my defense I never said I thought it sounded good. It was a neat effect with the wah. The switching seemed pretty pointless.I'd still like to hear it with some of the pole pieces directly under the strings but not enough to actually do the work.

All this has been done in more ways than they can make youtube videos about.
Undefined and great for clean put another set behind them in the bridge. Lets defocus all harmonics with nulls and eddys.
Pickup placement is a big deal, and there is a list of reasons not to do that.
