Miles is right, get it up off the floor a bit. I know you get some extra bass oomph having a cab slap on the deck like that. I reckon you'll find some happy spot where the sound reaches your ears better than your ankles, and still have plenty of rumble. A low bench of some sort. All the better to feast eyes on that wood.

Grill? This looks like a kool old hi fi speaker. Tan, or oxblood, or oxblood with wheat stripe if you wanna get fancy. A see-thru doubleknit might be worth trying for a lark. "We like to see the speakers!" Or go retro, tie dye. You're in California, fits right in.

I've tried vertical 2x12s in the past. Maybe fine on stage, but in my room, I sit near the cab when I play, and I always hear comb filtering when I sit near a vertical 2x12.

This cabinet is already sitting on a 2" base of walnut hardwood, and the top surface makes a great space for my Helix and a stereo SS amp.

"Sir! I am just a poor man trying to feed his family! I had no idea these birds are endangered! Oh no! I just can't tell you how sorry I am!"

"Sorry. 29 counts on you we have to go to the magistrate. I can't just let you slide on this. Let's go."

"29 ROSEATE SPOONBILLS!!" said the magistrate.

"I SWEAR MR MAGISTRATE!! I HAD NO IDEA THESE BIRDS WERE IN TROUBLE! IM JUST A POOR MAN TRYING TO FEED HIS FAMILY!!" the hunter broke into tears. "Six kids and my wife.. I'm all they have.. I can't go to prison and I won't make $2000 this year!"

The magistrate realized this man had not intended to kill endangered birds. There was never a more forward offer of absolute remorse in his 33 years of service. "Well.. I can't let you just walk out of here. I am going to give you the least that I can. One month of community service for each violation.. I'll suspend half of that.. but, may I ask you a question..."
