NAMM Redux

Post by dartanion »

Well, another year, another NAMM. This year was a fantastic one for me as I spent most of my time with Moss (Rocco) Hudson and the Brown-note folks. Got to meet Allyn, Norm, and Loren finally. Much fun.

There were some unbelievable Jazzers hanging with us throughout the show and we had some stellar jam sessions with the likes of Jim Wright and Randy Strom on Warr Guitars, Ruben Diaz, Chuck D'Aloia, John Gentry, Scott Lerner, Phil Brown, Billy Yates, Jerry Jennings, and many other fabulous musicians. It was a pure pleasure to hear all these guys play for hours.

Reason also was there with their new amp line. Killer rock amps. Great to Anthony, Obeid, and Anthony's dad.

The Gibson both was by appt. only again...lame!

Anyway, some cool stuff, lots of crap, and tons of freaks as usual.

Hey Darrin,

You ain't lyin'! (right down to Gibson's lame, appointment-based booth...)

It was a blast to hang and experience all the killer players and builders. I was kind of bummed that we didn't go back to the suite and get a chance to hear your liverpool 15, but my brother and I were feeling homesick (and a little worse for wear...). Another time, yes?

Cheers,

Hey Geek,

Great to meet you to bro!

I got to tell everyone that the Brown-note amps sound awesome verified by all these jazz ears and the Geek pedals were very popular with the rockers!!! 8) The Sarge was crackin' me up.

I wish we would have had more time to hang out. Hope you are over the flu man!

It was great to see all the boys and to meet some new faces. Moss, your booth and hospitality suite is always the best of show! The excitement around your amps just grows with every event. Maybe I'll be able to say I was there when........ 8)

Hey Allyn,

It was a pleasure to meet you. I just wish I would have had more time to pick your brain.

Maybe we can get a rock/blues jam happening next year!!

Hey Darrin,
It was good to meet you there. We did get quite a "show" from all the great players that stopped by. I enjoyed our chat about cabs.
You did get some great shots! I just posted all the photos I took, but I'll start a new thread instead of hijacking yours :D
