During the battle of Faluja, the psyops guys had roof-mounted PA systems, and they would drive around blasting Metallica because the insurgents just couldn't help but run outside and try to shoot the vehicle. The music was key in helping lots of them meet their goals of martyrdom....

The Zero dB project (zero decibels = silence)

Unfortunately, wrong guys. It's unity gain. Of course silence with a gain of 1 would still be silence...
Should have thought about a better name. But well, what do musicians know

When I went through aircrew survival decades ago, they played a screaming child for over 24 hours at unbelievable levels..... to this day, when a kid crys, my hands immediately ball into a fist..... fight or flight reaction, me thinks...

The rest of that list is just mildly irritating comparatively...

Yeah I kind of picked that one out of thin air.
Years ago they really tried promoting Slim on TV ads, selling his records.

Then in the movie, "Mars Attacks" his music was featured in the sound track.

I always thought poor old Slim was just corny enough to be cool.
I'm sure many of a women swooned to his yodeling skills. :D

Two torture tunes to add:
It's a small world after all featured in the Disneyland ride.
Raindrops keep falling on my head. I don't know who sung that, but it kills me.
The Last of the World's Great Human Beings
Seek immediate medical attention if you suddenly go either deaf or blind.
If you put the Federal Government in charge of the Sahara Desert, in five years time there would be a shortage of sand.
