Michael Jackson Dead at 50

Post by Structo »

Love him or hate him, Michael Jackson certainly influenced the pop music scene for many years.

Died today in LA of apparent heart attack at age 50.

I was showing my wife that right before I came on line to AG we were both shocked. Michael battled his demons but he was a talented man and so is the whole family.

I once gave a neightbor farm girl a 45 record "one bad apple" as a gift but she didn't bite, rats.

RIP Michael. I grew up listening to his music, doing ridiculous dances to smooth criminal and beat it at the age of 4 or 5.... i'm rather upset. he was an amazing talent as a musician, recording artist and performer, and i'm lamenting that i missed his only concert here in mumbai back in the day.

Definitely the King of Pop for me. Sleep well, Jacko.

Trust me, you don't want the ones who bite.

A dead pop star sells more records than a live one. If I was just a little more paranoid I might think this was a hoax. Freak Boy retires to anonymity in the South of France, record company keeps sending royalty checks to his "estate". It's perfect.

I wuz talkin' to Jim Morrison this morning...

I, too, was a little taken back yesterday after hearing about his death. Fantastically talented man for sure.

Well put Mark.

I remember watching the premier of the Thriller video on MTV, back in the day when MTV was actually about music. That video was unique and set a precedent for the time.

RIP.
If he would have passed away in '84 or '85 he would have been bigger than Elvis.

Farrah passed away also.
Another icon.

Tasteless but funny:

Farrah gets to heaven and is granted one wish.
She says "I want all the children of the world to be safe".
So God immediately takes out Michael Jackson.

Heard on the news that he gives Paul McCartney back his songs in his will. Good for him if he did.

He was $400 million in debt. Debt holders get first grab. Sorry Paul.

Anyway, who's Michael Jackson?
