Yeah that was a great price. I tried picking up two anvils locally, I forget the weight, pretty much the same size as the ones that guy blew-up.

They're nuts what they want for those and they didn't even come with the tree stump. :)

There are 9 more left! Brodhead and Garret is like the Rolls Royce of wood vices. It probably weighs more than one of those anvils. On OWWM those guys drool for those but I can't post it there because Ebay listings can't be posted on that forum. Oh well, I like us over here better. So if you think you'll ever need one they don't come cheaper.

It's funny though. I immediately looked up anvils on Ebay after I posted that video. Seems they have become popular all of a sudden.

I'm fortunate to have my dad's old 85# anvil.
I think I'll forgo the black powder :oops:

Not all of a sudden really, anvils went well past a buck a pound maybe 15 years ago. It's simply because many, if not all of the newly made ones are more or less junk. So to get a good one, you have to pay. Seen some go for well over 5 bucks/pound recently for really choice ones.

Those are beautiful vises.

I keep hitting the farm auctions and weekend fleamarkets and yeah the bit war is on. :)

The ones at Harbor Frieght Tools are cheap quality.
