True!

Power output wise I have had a few of the so called 70 watters of my own and even with all new filters and very strong testing new output tubes I find they are hard pressed to do 62 watts of unclipped power output!
When I die, I want to go like my Grandfather did, peacefully in his sleep.
Not screaming like the passengers in his car!😊

That’s true for other models, eg TR, but I’m not sure about the SR. ie I’ve not come across (or seen reports of) an SR model that has a master vol but doesn't also have a distributed load OT and full wave bridge rectifier (70 watt model).
