I love it when practical application meets artful execution. No reason a creation can't sport a little sass and flair. Great job, Mark.
It's a guitar amplifier. How hard can it be?

omg awesome
Signatures have a 255 character limit that I could abuse, but I am not Cecil B. DeMille.
Re: Fender 5b6 preamp
The owner is having fun using it.
Re: Fender 5b6 preamp
Did anyone ever build a preamp or amp out out of their Ebay toasters?
Re: Fender 5b6 preamp
Back at it again: Do you think this preamp circuit would work well, has the Merlin B . tilt control and extra stage.

Final schematic.
Sounds good to me will see what Rodger things when he gets it back and can run through his pedal steel setup.
Input into 1/2 of 6SC7, then volume and tone control into 6SL7 to output.

Re: Fender 5b6 preamp
Well we had some noise and no worky problems got the toaster back.
Need to do a better job of wiring. Had to make some isolation wafers to go under the tube sockets of the 1st toaster build and add heat shrink to the unused tube pins.
I am going to build another toaster preamp with 6SC7 and 6SL7 tubes but use the potter tube sockets with #6 solder tabs on each screw terminal.
