Thanks, Pete. The big scorch mark by the 220K feedback resistors was a bit of a mystery. Perhaps an earlier blowup? (I don't have carbon dating equipment--Harbor Freight?) When I arrived, it had a burned open screen resistor and 1K power dropping resistor.
