Since the vinyl insulated wire is probably cheaper than the cloth wire, they
used as much as they could in each amp.
I wonder how many amps were virtually unplayable due to faulty lead dress.
But they said, hey it's also a radio!

It took a long time for Fender to reclaim their reputation after the CBS fiasco.
I remember a local store that always sold Fender guitars and amps.
Around 1972 or so, I went there one day and all they had was Peavey amps.
The owner said that the quality of the Fender stuff got so bad that he couldn't stand behind the product anymore.
This was like in the early 70's.

Ha ha ha, I used to get radio Luxemburg on my 72 Twin Reverb, when I lived in Sweden...
