Super surprize

Post by ampmike »

We have a auction place here in Pa every tuesday there is one.My son was on line looking at it and askes if a fender super reverb was any good.I looked and say "Yea thats a older fender silverface with 4 10s.Id love to have that and that was the end of it.A couple hours later Im come in the kitchen and there sits this amp.Its got all the paper work manual. Its dead quiet, not even a scratchy pot.Not even a rusty screw.Every feature works perfect.Yesterday was a great day :D

Yea it did come with a curly grey cord ,I swear. It works great too, instruction manual with photos .And a very strange yellowed piece of paper. On it is a nicely hand written song by the Bee Jees ,I don't know if I spelled that right you know Barry Gibb ect ,I just can't believe that this thing is dead quiet with the master pulled and cranked,Palm mute ,dead silence, not one scratchy pot.And it came with two pedals that weigh a ton. They are just switch pedals but have quarter inch mono jacks.Dont know how he used them. They say clipper cat on them.I think it's a seventy three,he got it for four hundred bucks. But this amp is sweet,I'm building pedal boards right now and can't wait to try some with this amp :D

I would remove the upper back panel and flip it up side down and pull the cap pan off to take a gander at the filters, as amps that have not been used much and then put back into service can start to fail the filters real fast even if it's got no noise now!
