First guyatone ,Fender super reverb clone upgrade

Post by boops »

Hi ,
I’ve just bought a guyatone head amp ,490 eu ,called “dynamic amp “ a first one vintage fender clone,I m trying to find the right schematic for it
At the beginning ,I ve believed ,it was a super reverb ,but I ve found only 5 tubes for the preamp against 6 on a fender ,on it
2 channels,no rectifier tube,a diode x 4 bridge ,the sound is not bad ,really clean ,even a high level ,I guess it is a good base for teawing ,install a GZ34,5T4?,change the Ot with the right primary ,and a good pair of 1952 Philips 6v6, to try to build a “Blackface deluxe reverb”or change the tube el34 now ? ? For 5881 Siemens ?

I ve found and buy it like this ,I will work on it the next days. I am looking for the schéma ?
my first choice install Philips Mustard capacitors on it ?
on the tone stack ,there are the original paper oil capacitors (no tested).and nice little brown mica caps, someone has installed this modern ,I believe yellow and brown TC caps for coupling in the signal

With 220v on the Pt ,I ve got a B+ 480v and 6,8v on the heater ,loaded
Then I choose the 240v for a B+ 430v and 6,2v heater , I ve done a new bias ,around 37mA ,for this el 34
Any advice? The sound is really clean ,and it take really well the pedal ,example a fuzz ,I want it breaks sooner cause I play blues (not only)since 40 years .

Port city 1x12”with a recent celestion cream back closed 8 ohms or a eminence Black window style ,125w with a big coil old one from my Mesa boogie mark 2 (1979) 8ohm
There is a new OT on the amplifier 8 and 16 ohms ,no reference ,any idea ?
