I suspect there are many more of us that have used the electricians trick than those that have a proper wrench.

I never seem to have trouble getting the old one loosened to remove it, but getting the new one tighten up nicely has always been difficult. Various pliers to creep it has always done the trick but it sure is a test of patience.

I want to use a spanner on a nut. The hammer and punch/screwdriver can only cause damage.

I know this is a old thread but I found and purchased an offset wrench for Fender Amps.

Bruce from Mission Amps offered a very nice offset purpose-made wrench many years ago. Good to see there is another option now.
