Crema Wheat Tonestack?

Post by Beardy »

Hi All;

I'm mucking about with a 5C3 clone and was looking at the Crema Wheat. From the pictures I've seen, it looks like the normal channel has a 10uF bypass cap and 1k5 resistor then a .01 or .02 cap to ground but also a treble cap - can't see it clearly though. the Bright channel looks stock but with a larger cap to ground off the tone control - again maybe .01 or .022 - not sure if the 470pf cap was altered either.

Anyway - just curious if anyone knows what changes were made to the stock tweed tonestack....

D'oh - it's obviously the same tonestack as the 6G3 - answered my own question!

Crema stack is slightly altered from stock 6G3
Normal channel has
10uf Cathode by pass cap || 1k5 resistor
680p treble cap
.02 bass cap

Bright channel has
25uf Cathode by pass cap || 1k5 resistor
500p treble cap
.01 bass cap

Tonally, the channel differences are subtle.
