Plausibly best correct and economical answer is --

... schematic supposedly for a Dr. Zed Z-Wreck and noted that the V1B triode is grounded on every pin.

My solution (to disconnect the heater of the unused section) offers improved economy, due to eliminating the unnecessary consumption of electricity and valve life

No way I can build a one triode tremolo along the lines of Sluckey's one, without the 3M3 a-log pot?
(it's for an AC4 style build)

Make the 3 caps bigger (eg 47nF) and use a 1M audio pot wired backwards, ie so slowest speed and highest resistance is at CW.
